Killing Kennedy

The writers make it plain right away that they are not conspiracy theorists, but they do provide evidence for those hypotheses in their sections on JFK’s formidable foes who would have been ready and able to carry out the assassination.

This chapter about his family’s ascent to prominence includes information about his family’s connections to Mafia leaders and associates, including Frank Sinatra.

JFK’s bond with Martin Luther King, Jr. and their shared distaste for Vice President Johnson have made the tale of their involvement in the Civil Rights Movement and JFK’s new friendship with Bobby more compelling.

This is also the tale of how the youthful President and his stunning wife, Jackie, turned our nation into a modern-day Camelot, bringing enthusiasm and vitality to both the populace and our government. Information about their private lives is included, which heightens the tragedy of the conclusion.

In this book, Kennedy was both admirable and flawed; in other words, he was a person.

Although I was well aware of the details surrounding Kennedy’s horrific death, I must admit that reading this book allowed me to feel it for the first time.

I’ve been impressed with Bill O’Reilly’s writing and detail-filled approach throughout this entire narrative. I would have continued reading this book. I advise everyone who loves history books or is interested in learning more about the Kennedy’s to take up this book.
