Lady Dragons Softball Takes One of Three

In a three-game week, the Lady Dragon Softball team managed to win one of three against the Huntingdon Lady Bearcats with a score of 3-2.

Against the Philipsburg-Osceola Lady Mountaineers and the Forest Hills Lady Rangers, the Dragons took 12-2 and 5-0 losses respectively.

Against the Bearcats, the Dragons fell into an early deficit that was extended in the sixth before the Dragons tied the game that same inning. In extra innings, the Dragons were able to score one in the bottom of the eighth with a walk off single by Aubrey Rhodes for the victory.

Against the Mountaineers, the Dragons’ two runs in the second weren’t enough to counter their opponents’ twelve across the first five innings, ending in a mercy-rule loss for the Dragons. Madison Kennedy and Alexis Fetzer had three and two hits respectively in the losing effort.

The Dragons’ side of the scoreboard remained at zero for the whole night against the Rangers. Pitcher Kennedy had two hits and only allowed six hits in taking the loss.

This drops the Dragons’ record to 5-6 as the Dragons prepare for the Bishop McCourt Lady Crushers, the Bellwood-Antis Lady Blue Devils, the Bald Eagle Area Lady Eagles and the Everett Lady Warriors.
