    The Altoona-Blair County Airport Authority has obtained a liquor license for use at the airport’s restaurant. La Fiesta Mexican Bar & Grille, located at the airport, is now permitted to serve alcohol to its customers, as the liquor license was received by the authority on Jan. 23. There is a provision in the Pennsylvania Liquor Code that allows for the issuance of a liquor license to an airport authority only, without opening the entire township to liquor sales by other parties.     Freedom Township Fire Department Chief Ron Henry said area volunteer firefighters were called to 111 Woody Lane, off Martz Road, in East Freedom, at approximately 5:30 a.m. Henry said when firefighters arrived, the one-story home with a finished basement was fully engulfed in flames.     The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) announced on Jan. 28 that more than $925,000 in competitive grants had been awarded to 72 elementary, middle and high schools across the state for the purchase of new food service equipment for cafeterias.
