    Northern Bedford Elementary recently held its bowling trips for third through fifth grade students at the Morrison Cove Memorial Park. The students not only learned the basics of bowling, but also the etiquette of the sport.     The Greenfield Township board of supervisors held its regular monthly meeting on Mar. 7. The police department will soon be utilizing a new public safety policy management program maintained through Texas-based company, Lexipol.     In the past month Martinsburg Mennonite Church had two events to help to increase socialization and to support community restaurants. On Wednesday, March 8, the group had lunch at 11:30 a.m. at La Fiesta Restaurant at the Blair County Airport with 16 in attendance.     A Gallitzin man was jailed after an altercation with Freedom Township police resulted in one officer getting kicked. According to Freedom Township police, an officer was on patrol when he spotted a vehicle parked near the intersection of Dunnings Highway and Municipal Street and two men standing outside the car. Colpetzer, 30, a janitor at Claysburg-Kimmel Elementary School who was arrested last week on multiple felony counts of sexual abuse of children after it was discovered that he was leaving notes and candy on the desk of an 11-year-old student, allegedly told police he was told the student “doesn’t have a good home life,” and he thought it would be nice to leave her candy and notes.
