    The Herald would like to alert its readers and advertisers to the early deadlines that have been set for the Thursday, May 28, edition. All forms of advertising – classified, legal notice, regular display and back page – will be due in the Herald office by 5 p.m. Thursday, May 21. News items and obituaries will be due by 5 p.m. Friday, May 22.   • Project Contractor Expected to Request Extension of Time

    The treatment and pumping contractor for one of the Williamsburg Municipal Authority’s projects was temporarily shut down because of Gov. Wolf’s coronavirus restriction orders. Stiffler-McGraw engineer John Clabaugh told authority members that he expects the contractor to request a time extension, but there was no request at the time of the meeting via phone conference on Tuesday evening, May 5.   • AAA: Pennsylvania Gas Prices Increase as Regional States Begin to Re-Open

    The average price of gasoline across Western Pennsylvania is three cents higher this week at $2.106 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. The Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region is seeing the least volatility in the country at the pump. On the week, gas prices increased or decreased no more than two cents, except in West Virginia (+6 cents), Maine (+6 cents) and North Carolina (+3 cents).
