    The average price of gasoline across Western Pennsylvania is eight cents higher this week at $2.342 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report. As gas prices increase across the country, five Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states carry averages of $2 per gallon or more: Pennsylvania ($2.22), New York ($2.18), Washington, D.C., ($2.13), New Jersey ($2.02) and Maryland ($2.01).     Three Morrisons Cove area high school students have been named to All-State Concert Band. Named to the 2020 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Concert Band were Claysburg-Kimmel High School senior Maggie Knisely, Central High School junior Dana Heltzel and Northern Bedford County junior Lainee Sensenig.     The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and PennAg Industries on May 26 announced that $280,000 is available to Pennsylvania’s poultry, swine, lamb, goat, and sheep processors to reimburse costs associated with the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) for their workforce.
