    Nuisance Ordinance No. 563 will be revised after discussion at Martinsburg Borough Council’s July meeting. This ordinance says that police issue a warning when a resident’s grass and/or weeds are too high, and the resident has seven days to fix their yard before being issued a citation. Police Chief Kerry Hoover said the problem this summer is that residents are receiving warnings, mowing their grass in the seven-day period, then waiting until they receive another warning to mow again.   • Greenfield Township Purchases New Body Cameras for Police

    The Greenfield Township Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of new body cameras and car cameras for the township police department at their July 5 meeting. The equipment and five years of support will cost the township $50,872, according to Ami Fether, township secretary-treasurer. The new cameras, produced by Motorola Solutions, will replace aging technology that is considered obsolete.   • Altoona-Blair County Airport to Switch Carriers

    Pending U.S. Department of Transportation approval, a new carrier will be servicing the Altoona-Blair County Airport later this year. According to Airport Manager Tracy Plessinger, Contour Airlines of Smyrna, Tennessee, will take over passenger service from Boutique Air. Boutique has been the airport's carrier since January of 2021 with daily flights to Baltimore and Pittsburgh.
