    The Northern Bedford High School Class of 1964 held its 55th reunion Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Iron Masters Country Club, Roaring Spring RR. There were 26 classmates in attendance. Of the 89 graduates, 63 are living.     State Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair) and Sen. Judy Ward (R-Blair/Cumberland/Franklin/Fulton/Huntingdon) toured Ritchey's Dairy July 24 to learn about how the business will use a Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loan to expand storage capabilities. Founded in 1940, Ritchey's Dairy uses state-of-the-art machinery in its production of milk, ice cream and iced tea.   • Sinkhole Discovered

    Workers with the Freedom Township Water and Sewer Authority discovered a sinkhole in the south-bound turning lane in front of Walmart in East Freedom. A PennDOT spokesperson said the sinkhole happened when an underground pipe leaked. The sinkhole is estimated to be about 10 feet deep. PennDOT is expected to begin repairs this week....

    A Portage man was arrested after police said he threw urine-filled jugs onto the properties of three people with whom he had a personal vendetta. Police said that Earl Flynn, 66, of Portage, over a years time, would fill plastic jugs with urine and then throw them onto properties in Duncansville and East Freedom On July 26, State Police, Hollidaysburg, were contacted by one of the residents concerning the incidents.     The average price of gasoline across Western Pennsylvania is two cents cheaper this week at $2.951 per gallon, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
