McKee Christmas Party a Tradition For More than 50 Years

Janie Myers moved to McKee in the late 1950s when she was 8 years old. Within five years, a piece of ground owned by her grandfather, Chester Woomer, became the foundation of the McKee playground.

Since its beginnings, the McKee playground has been the center of the youth of McKee, and every year for more than 50 years, the playground has hosted a Christmas party for area kids.

This year's party was held on Saturday, Dec. 8, at the McKee Community Center.
