GERALD R. REPLOGLE

Gerald R. Replogle, 75, of Altoona, formerly of Martinsburg, passed away on Saturday morning, Dec. 8, 2018, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

A funeral was held Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Martinsburg Church of God. Pastor Nathan Starr officiated.

Gerald was born on April 28, 1943, in Martinsburg, son of the late A. Ross and S. Leda (Kensinger) Replogle.

He married Barbara A. Leonard on June 15, 1963, in Williamsburg. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2016.

Surviving are two sons: Dean G. of Columbus, Georgia, and Daryl R. (Kim) of Saxton; six grandchildren: Justin, Tara, Daryl, Meghan, Kourtney and Trey; and seven great-grandchildren.

Gerald was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Trisha Lynette Replogle; a sister, Sarah Billeter; and a brother, Edward L. Replogle.

He was a 1961 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg, and a longtime member of Martinsburg Church of God.

Gerald retired as an over-the-road truck driver from Air Ground Freight Trucking. During his career he worked for many different local trucking companies. He also owned and operated a dairy farm in Martinsburg RR for 20 years.

He loved spending time with his family, especially with his wife, Barbara. Most people who knew Gerald heard this saying when they asked him how he was doing, "Mean and nasty as usual."
