JOHN MONNIKENDAM

John Monnikendam, 72, of Altoona, died on Sunday evening, Dec. 9, 20128, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring, following an extended illness.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services.

John was born on Nov. 21, 1946, in Amsterdam, the son of the late Jacob and Margaret (Renner) Monnikendam.

He married Diana Richers on Aug. 7, 1976, in Winchester, Virgina.

John is survived by his wife; a daughter, Maria Dennis and husband Brady of Roaring Spring; two grandchildren: Emily and Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
