Hollidaysburg Yuletide Tour a 'True Victorian Christmas'

Though advertised images of a snowy stroll through Historic Hollidaysburg were actually a rainy drizzle, more than 200 people purchased tickets and participated in the 2018 Yuletide Tour on Sunday, Dec. 16.

Participants walked between eight historic homes and sites filled with the magic of Christmas Past, enjoying a true Victorian Christmas filled with authentic charm.

The event was sponsored by the Blair County Historical Society (BCHS) and FINDS Consignment of Hollidaysburg.

"Proceeds from this tour stay in Hollidaysburg for events and programs," Kerrie Kinzle, owner of FINDS and BCHS boardmember, said.

The event sites included the Mimosa Courtyard Inn B&B, The Johnston Home, Highland Hall, Historic Hollidaysburg Inc. House (1872 Italianate style), Peters Koss Home (1895 Victorian Eclectic), Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (1909 Gothic Revival in the Medieval Style), Keller Engineers office and U.S. Hotel Tavern.
