St. John's of Loysburg Plans Special Services

St. John’s Reformed Church of Loysburg will celebrate Advent Holy Communion during the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Dec. 23.

The service will include a solo, “O Holy Night,” by Brad Gable and a sermon from Luke by the pastor, the Rev. Dr. David M. Meckley.

St. John’s will hold its traditional Christmas Eve candlelighting service at 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, with lessons and carols, a solo by Beverly Smith and a message by Pastor Meckley. The service will conclude with the singing of “Silent Night” by candlelight as attendees form a circle around the interior of the sanctuary. Friends and neighbors are invited to join the congregation for this service.
