CDC: Lung Cancer Is Not Just A Smoker's Disease

If you’re like many people, you may think of smoking as the most obvious cause for lung cancer.

And while cigarette smoking has certainly been established as a major risk factor and the number one cause for lung cancer, it’s important to note that lung cancer is not just a “smoker’s disease.”

In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), lung cancer is the second-most diagnosed cancer in both men and women in the U.S. and the leading cause of cancer death. As many as 20 percent of lung cancer fatalities can be attributed to those who have never smoke...
