WHS Boys Seeking First Victory

The Williamsburg High School boys’ basketball team lost its two games during the week to fall to 0-4 overall.

After losing by three at Claysburg-Kimmel on Dec. 17 (see story in C-K’s roundup), the Blue Pirates fell in overtime at Moshannon Valley on Dec. 20, 82-73.

Trailing 34-32 at halftime, the Vikings pulled ahead by nine with a 25-14 third-quarter surge. The Blue Pirates’ 20-11 fourth-quarter surge sent the game into overtime, where Moshannon Valley has a 14-5 scoring edge.
