Paul F. "Junior" Brumbaugh, 89, of Williamsburg RR, went home to be with The Lord late Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
A funeral was held Saturday, Jan. 5, at Fairview Church of the Brethren, Williamsburg RR. Pastors Thomas P. Hanks and Eric J. Fether officiated.
Private interment was held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
Paul was born on Oct. 22, 1929, in Williamsburg RR, son of the late Paul A. and Ruth E. (Allison) Brumbaugh. After the passing of his mother, his father married Pearl Snowberger, who helped raise Paul.
He married Shirley J. Clowson on Feb. 11, 1956, at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years; three sons: Dennis P. (Carolyn) and Gary A. (Lisa), both of Williamsburg RR, and David C. (Cathy) of Cambridge; two daughters: Carla Frederick (Mark) of Roaring Spring and Elise L. Eastep (David Greer) of Williamsburg RR; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mervin G. Brumbaugh of Williamsburg RR.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Thelma L. Baker and Margaret E. Sollenberger; and a brother, Allison D. Brumbaugh.
Paul was a 1948 graduate of Williamsburg High School and in 1951 purchased a dairy farm in Williamsburg RR, which he owned and operated for many years, providing milk for the Interstate Milk Cooperative, formerly Abbotts's Dairy.
He was an active longtime member of Fairview Church of the Brethren, Williamsburg RR, where he taught Sunday school. Paul served on the Williamsburg School Board for many years and was a member of the local chapter of Young Farmers Association and Pennsylvania Farmers Association.
Paul loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grand- and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling, auctions and in his younger days, square dancing and roller skating.
The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Fairview Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund, 220 Fairview Road, Williamsburg, PA 16693.
