RAMONA G. WHITFIELD

Ramona G. Whitfield, 93 of Roaring Spring, formerly of Saxton, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.

Friends may call at 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral today, Thursday, Jan. 10, at Akers Funeral Chapel, http://www.akersfuneralchapel.com, Saxton.

Burial will be held privately at Yellow Creek Reformed Cemetery.

Ramona was born on Sept. 19, 1925, in Broad Top, a daughter of the late William and Ida Mae (Lane) Fleck.

She was united in marriage to Robert F. Whitfield. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2007.

Ramona is survived by daughter Nancy, married to Norman Wright, Roaring Spring; daughter-in-law Beverly, married to Ray Smeltzer, Blairsville; grandchildren: Ty Wright, married to Kathy; Travis Wright and fiance Amber Port; Troy Wright, married to Polly; Sherry, married to Randy Imler; and Wendy Ferry; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Ramona was preceded in death by brother, Gene Fleck; sister Madeline J. Mccleaf; son Donald B. Whitfield; and grandson Robert C. Whitfield.

Mrs. Whitfield was a member of the Stonerstown Church of the Brethren.

She was a housewife and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
