Meat Canning Project Set for Feb. 11-14

On February 11-14, 2019, we will be holding our 45th annual Central Pennsylvania Meat Canning Project at the East Derry Fire Co., located at 1800 Glenwood Ave., 2.2 miles north on Route 522 from the 322 and 522 interchange in Lewistown, Pa. To date, with your support, we have canned 688,854 cans of product. We will again be canning turkey.

After the meat is canned, 90 percent of our meat goes to the Mennonite Central Committee’s warehouse for shipment to relief efforts thought out the world. The association keeps 10 percent of the cans here in the Central Pennsylvania for our area needy....
