On Saturday, Jan. 5, the Central girls' basketball team hosted Tussey Mountain at Penn State Altoona's Adler Athletic Complex. It was Central's "Pink Night," supporting those affected with cancer. It was a tough week for the Central Lady Dragons as they dropped three non-league games and saw their record fall to 3-6 on the season.

On Jan. 2, the team traveled to Marion Center and came up short 45-41. The game was close throughout with the hosts leading by two after one quarter and three at halftime. Central had an impressive third quarter (14-9) to lead by two entering the final frame but was outscored 12-6 in the final eight minutes to come up short.
