Tigers Tame Dragons

The Central Dragon boys’ basketball team was able to play just one of its three scheduled games last week and fell short in a non-league match-up with neighboring Hollidaysburg on Jan. 21. The loss dropped the Dragons’ record to 11-3 on the season.

Central started strong, taking a 12-8 advantage after the opening quarter. Braden Kitt scored seven early points to spark the offense. The Tigers exploded for 24 second-quarter points and took a 32-24 advantage into halftime. Noah Muthler was responsible for nine of the Dragons’ 12 points in the frame.
