Letter to the Editor

To the Editor:

“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.”

In my lifetime, this nation has committed two gross errors.

1. We as a nation, validated sodomy as a legitimate lifestyle and legalized its union

2. Roe v. Wade made infanticide “birth control.” Surely an abomination to God.

I heard the governor of Virginia propose a bill for late-term abortion. Although voted down by a three-to-two margin, has he opened the door for further debate and consideration?

I envisioned a rusted door lifting, with hideous faces of flaming winged demonic creatures pouring an unbearable stench into the atmosphere. Will there yet be a further degradation of this society in the promulgation of Roe v. Wade?

They may call it hate speech, or say, “I'm offended,” but God’s word says, “Speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4: 15).

If we love the Lord and His word, do we have the courage to speak up and speak out?

“If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him, but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall entreat for him?”

– 1 Samuel 2:25

So we entreat, “For we are a sweet odour of Christ to God, in the saved and in those that perish: to one an odour from death unto death, but to the others an odour from life unto life; and who is sufficient for these things?”

– 2 Corinthians 2:15, 16
