Snow and Ice Removal

Area borough and municipalities spent much of the day on Tuesday, Feb. 12, removing snow and ice from area roadways.

Above, borough employees in Martinsburg remove the snow and ice along North Market Street. The crews cleared the streets near and around the square in town.

According to accuweather.com, the Morrisons Cove area received a total of 6.7 inches of snow that fell on Monday and Tuesday. A mixture of sleet and freezing rain fell in the area on Tuesday. The total amount of precipitation was 1.23 inches.
