From the 'Burg to Your Kitchen

Last week, we celebrated one of my favorite holidays, Valentine's Day, but I'm still feeling the loving mood – of course, with chocolate.

Here are two more recipes that are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth – even after the holiday is long over.

Chocolate Peanut

Butter Pizza

Ingredients:

1 (18-oz) roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough

3/4 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels

1/2 cup bite-size chocolate peanut butter cups

1/4 cup miniature candy-coated chocolate pieces

1/4 cup salted peanuts, chopped

Chocolate sauce

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan.

Evenly press the cookie dough on the pizza pan and spread it out to the edges. Make sure the dough completely covers the bottom of the pizza pan.

Bake for 22 to 28 minutes, or until light golden brown. Cool the cookie for no more than 10-12 minutes. Then, spread the peanut butter evenly on top. Sprinkle with the chocolate morsels, peanut butter cups, chocolate pieces, and peanuts. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, if desired. Cut into wedges and serve warm.

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Blondies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1 cup packed dark brown sugar

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 Tbsp. vanilla

1-1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/8 tsp. baking soda

pinch of salt

3/4 cup chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 8-inch x 8-inch cake pan.

Cream the melted butter, peanut butter, and sugar in a bowl, then whisk in the egg and vanilla extract, followed by the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt (if using). Mix well, and then add the chocolate chips.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.
