Bedford Farm Bureau to Host Safety Training

Bedford County Farm Bureau and Nationwide Insurance will host a Member Benefits, Pesticide Applicators and Safety Training from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at the Bedford Township Building.

Those in attendance will receive two Core and two Category points towards their Pennsylvania Pesticide Applicators License.

The topics that will covered will be Safe Chemical Handling and Application, Pesticide Labels and Preharvest Intervals, Pollinators and Safety Sensitive Areas, Application Claims and Prevention, Weeds and Weed Management and Insects, Diseases and Management. Lunch will be provided.

Reservations must be made by Feb. 26 by calling Dean Claycomb at 623-3561. The training is by Nationwide’s Risk Management Services Unit.
