Central Pesticide Meeting Rescheduled for March 12

A make-up date for the Central High School pesticide meeting that was scheduled for Feb. 12 has been set for 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at the Central High School cafeteria, Martinsburg.

The February meeting was cancelled due to the closure of district buildings that day. The re-scheduled meeting will offer two category and two core credits in category 01 and PC. There is no fee for the meeting and attendees do not need to register in advance.

Dicamba Certification Meeting March 14

The speaker for the dicamba certification was not available for the make-up date, therefore a second meeting will be offered from 3 to 4 p.m.on Thursday, March 14, at the Blair County Extension office at 266 Aviation Way in Martinsburg. Those who intend to apply XtendiMax, FeXapan and Engenia to Roundup Read Xtend soybeans in 2019 must attend this meeting to receive a certificate to purchase those products. Those who received certification in 2018 need to re-certify for 2019.

Attendees must register in advance by contacting Zachary Larson at (814) 414-0582 by March 13. If there are no persons registered by March 13 the meeting will not be held. There will be no fee for this meeting.
