Cove Club Resumes Meetings

Barb Thomas of New Enterprise played the dulcimer during December's meeting of the Cove Community Club. A dulcimer, as Thomas explained, is the only true American folk instrument with a bagpipe-like sound. The club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the New Frontier Restaurant, Hopewell RR.

The Cove Community Club will resume its monthly meetings at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at the New Frontier Restaurant, Hopewell RR.

This club, formerly known as the Federation of Women's Club, started in 1960. In 2005 the federation was dropped and thus it is now called Cove Community Club.

This club meets the third Tuesday of every month at various local restaurants. The goal is to have socialization and raise money to help local people in the community. This past year money was donated to Northern Bedford High School to help with its scholarship program. Also, the women provided cho...
