Hundreds Enjoy Lions' Annual Oyster Dinner

The Cove Lions held its annual oyster dinner on Saturday, March 9, in Loysburg.

As usual, folks arrived as early at two hours ahead to assure they could be one of the first ones to eat.

The club sold 400 tickets this year. Fifty-five gallons of oysters were breaded by members the day before in preparation.

According to Carole Smith, secretary of the Lions Club, the preparation took more than eight hours. More than 20 people were utilized to serve and prepare the meal.
