WISE Women of Blair County, through the Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation, has announced its annual tribute honorees.
These women are recognized for their community input and/or involvement in organizations whose projects advance the WISE Women mission to empower women and eliminate racism through collaboration, service and education techniques.
The 2019 honorees are:
Arts & Letters – Amy Perchy, music educator
Business & Professional – Angela Rowe, DO, MBA, FAOAO, University Orthopedics Center.
Community Service Volunteer – Judy Savine – numerous organizations
Education – Patty Burlingame, Altoona Area School District assistant superintendent
Non-Profit/Government – Janet Eldred, executive director, Hollidaysburg Area Public Library
Rising Star – Kayley M. Burke, student at Franklin & Marshall College
Lifetime Achievement – Annette K. Lehman, volunteer/supporter of women
The 2019 tribute dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at The Casino at Lakemont Park, Altoona.
