Arts Scholarship Offered

The Altoona Community Theatre (ACT) Board of Directors has announced the Steven C. Helsel Legacy Scholarship.

It will be awarded in 2019 for the first time to a high school senior who has been involved with ACT. This award recognizes Helsel’s legacy of talent and generosity of spirit which affected his friends, collaborators, audience members and the community.

The award of $1,000 is open to any high school senior entering any field of study at any accredited post-secondary institution who has been active in some capacity with ACT.
