Fight to CAN Hunger Benefits Food Banks

The 10th annual Engineers Fight to CAN Hunger food drive began on Feb. 1 and ran through National Engineer's Week; Feb. 17-23.

This is a local competition in which engineering firms in Blair County compete to raise the most funds through employee/company contributions. Donations raised go directly to area food banks, including The American Rescue Workers, in Hollidaysburg and the Altoona Food Bank.

In years past, the competition included donating canned goods, but this year monetary donations were collected. The winner of the competition is determined by dividing the firm's number of employ...
