A meeting was held March 19, at the Martinsburg Fire Hall to inform furious farmers of what the Cove Area Regional Digester (CARD) could offer to local agriculture.

About 15 farmers showed for the meeting to hear the benefits and voice their concern.

Jason D. Wert of Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc., in State College explained cows produce manure year-round, but farmers only need the manure for part of the year. In addition, manure cannot be stored for a long period of time.
