NB Takes First Place at Reading Competition; C-K Places Second

Northern Bedford's fifth- and sixth-grade reading team, Paws-n-Pages, took first place at the annual Bedford County Reading Competition on March 28 at Northern Bedford High School. Spring brings with it sunshine, robins, flowers and the Bedford County Reading Competition.

On March 28, 20 teams from schools around the county converged at the Northern Bedford County Middle Senior High School to compete in the 26th annual competition.

Created in 1994 the competition encourages hundreds of students each year to read books they normally wouldn't pick up. The titles range from classics like "Charlotte's Web" to newer titles as "Forget Me Nott."
