Speeders to Visit Cove April 7

 

The brightly colored rail cars, or speeders, will be returning to the area on Sunday, April 7. The public is invited to visit the Roaring Spring Railroad Station for lunch and to meet the drivers. The Roaring Spring Historical Society and the Roaring Spring VFW will have food and more available for purchase.

It's that time of year again. The brightly colored rail cars, or speeders, will be returning to the area on Sunday, April 7.

Nearly 40 speeders will follow the rail in Morrisons Cove from Hollidaysburg to Claysburg and back again. The rail cars will then take a different route near East Freedom to visit Roaring Spring.

This marks the 19th time the speeders have traveled on the Everett Railroad line. The trek is close to 60 miles long.
