Back-to-Back Victories for WHS

The Williamsburg High School softball team jumped out to a 5-0 lead at Bellwood-Antis on March 26 and hung on for a 6-4 victory.

The Lady Pirates scored twice in each of the first two innings and added a single run in the third. They added their sixth run in the fourth to take a 6-2 lead.

Winning pitcher Elizabeth Frederick hit a home run, drove in two runs and scored twice for Williamsburg. Desiree Kyle had two hits in the victory, while Marissa Harclerode doubled, scored once and drove in one run.

Frederick allowed three hits, struck out seven and walked five in the win.
