Dragons Dominate Curve Classic

Central senior Dylan Focht fires a fastball against Altoona in the championship game of the Curve Classic on April 7 at Peoples Natural Gas Field. Focht tossed a one-hitter as the Dragons won the title with a 7-1 win. Central outscored its opponents 32-3 at the Classic, improving to 7-1 on the year.

It's hard enough to play five games in six days – let alone win them all. But that's exactly what the 7-1 Central Dragon team did this week.

After dispatching Bellefonte in five innings and Williamsburg in just three frames, Central plowed through the competition in the Curve Classic to claim the championship trophy.

In the five-game stretch the Dragons outscored their opponents by a 60-4 margin.

On April 2 at Bellefonte, the Dragons exploded for eight first inning runs and won easily 13-1 in five innings.
