Another Shutout for Lady Bulldogs

The Claysburg-Kimmel Lady Bulldogs’ softball team improved to 5-1 overall with a victory against visiting Williamsburg on April 11.

The Lady Bulldogs extended their shutout streak to four with the win.

C-K scored once in the fourth and twice in the sixth for their three runs.

Harleigh Cavender led C-K with two of the team’s five hits. She also drove in a run and scored once. Jazmin Kennedy and Haileigh Reed each drove in one run. Emily Claar and Megan Hartman also scored once.

Winning pitcher Olivia Bushore fanned 11 batters and yielded just three hits.

Ashley Brubaker (triple), Alexi McMonagle and Emily Frederick (triple) had one hit apiece for Williamsburg.

Frederick fanned nine hitters in the loss.
