Hileman Resigns from Williamsburg School Board

Boardmember Amy Hileman’s letter of resignation was accepted during the Tuesday evening, April 16, regular Williamsburg Community School Board meeting.

Hileman, a resident of Woodbury Township, was commended for her years of service to the board. Hileman applied for a position within the district, which means that she has to resign her seat on the school board.

Any Woodbury Township residents interested in serving on the board are encouraged to attend a school board meeting and interview with the board.

Superintendent Lisa Murgas praised the Williamsburg High School Band for its trip to Disney World last month.

“I was proud to see our band on Main Street USA marching,” Murgas told the board. “The students and chaperones were all fantastic during the trip.”

Murgas also praised the National Honor Society banquet held last month saying, “it really shows the support of our families.”

The school board adopted a contract between In-Shore Technologies and Williamsburg Community School District for renewal for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school year at a fee of $63,500 per year.

There was a closed-door executive session before regular board meeting to discuss personnel and negotiations.
