Kids Club Donates 'Skate Mates' to Park

The Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church Kids Club recently raised money and donated five new "skate mates" to Morrisons Cove Memorial Park, Martinsburg.

The skate mates are used to help prevent beginner roller skaters from falling. Each skate mate costs about $50 to make and assemble, Chuck Gojmerac, executive director at Memorial Park, said.

With this donation, the total number of skate mates that Memorial Park has available during public skating and private parties increases to 16.
