NWT Awards Bids

At the April meeting of the North Woodbury Township Board of Supervisors, 2019 bids for two paving and seal coat projects were opened and read aloud.

The proposed paving projects are 760 feet of S. Nicodemus St. from the juncture at Central High Road; 1,577 feet of Millerstown Road from State Route 164; and 528 feet from Old Henrietta Road from State Route 2001. This was awarded to the lowest bidder, New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co.

Seal coating projects are scheduled for Hoover Drive from State Route 164, Weyandt Road to Auction Road, Claybank Road from Fair Valley Road to the township line, Millerstown Road from State Route 164 to Auction Road, Crossroads Road from Auction Road to the juncture at Orchard Road, Ore Hole Road from Henrietta Road to the end and Red Row Road from Ore Hole Road to the end. The award went to Suit Coat, the lowest bidder.

Mr. and Mrs. William Helsel requested that stones from winter maintenance be removed from their yard. Suggestions for the removal were discussed with them.

Daniel Garwood presented documentation that his septic system was inspected and pumped when he bought his house in Curryville in August 2018. Since this had been done in the past year, the supervisors gave him an exemption from the $100.00 inspection fee required by the township.

Ritchey’s Dairy has requested numerous waivers in its land development plan. Due to time restraints a special meeting will be held to approve these waivers when the plans are ready.

A grant will be pursed to purchase a new radio for the township police.

The supervisors discussed the establishment of a website for the township. Dave Davis will be in charge of setting this up.

Supervisors will meet at 10 a.m. on May 1.
