Paper Mill Up for Bids

Negotiations are in progress which, if completed, will result in the properties of the Combined Paper Mills, Inc., including the Bare Mill at Roaring Spring. being acquired by the National Cash Register Company of Dayton, Ohio. Further details concerning the progress of this proposed merger are expected to be announced soon by the latter company. It is understood that, if the transaction is completed, the Roaring Spring mill will continue to operate under the name of Combined Paper Mills, Inc., as in the past, and that assurances have been given that the present business policy and management of the Combined Paper Mills will be continued.

Army Specialist Four Donald M. Anderson, Williamsburg, who was seriously wounded in a rocket attack on the Tay Nunh Base, Vietnam, has been removed from the critical list according to notification received by his parents on Sunday, April 27. He was struck with a shell fragment April 22, according to a letter from Maj. Gen. Kenneth G. Wickler, and the wound was in the brain.
