Area Faith-Based Ministries to Be At Fair May 18

The Central Pennsylvania Service Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, at the Wright Place for Kids, located in the old Wright Elementary School at 1809 11th St., Altoona.

The purpose of the service fair is to bring faith-based ministries into a neighborhood of great need.

“Many people are not aware of the services that are available to those in poverty, or what opportunities there are to volunteer to help those who need encouragement today,” Nancy E. Head, author of “Restoring the Shattered: Illustrating Christ’s Love Through the Church in One Accord,” said.

This day will be a time for people to learn how to get help and how to give help. Through the service fair, The Wright Place for Kids will offer bouncy houses, face painting, food, crafts, fellowship and information.
