Library Receives Funds from Foundation

The Claysburg Area Public Library was awarded $3,000 from the Claysburg Education Foundation for the 2019-20 Learning @ the Library program.

This program is a preschool program which prepares children for entering kindergarten. It also involves the parents/caretakers in the early reading education of their children. The children learn their numbers, letters, colors and shapes. They also learn to listen to stories, participate in songs and develop social skills. This program has been at the library for eight years. It is open to all children ages 3-5. The classes are held from 6 to 7 p.m....
