A telegram was received by Mrs. Elmer E. Rhodes of Royer Wednesday afternoon from the War department informing her that her son, Technical Sergeant Norbert E. Rhodes is missing since May 1. Sergeant Rhodes was a top turret gunner and had been in the thick of the war activities since going overseas. The last letter received by his mother was dated April 30, and presumably came from England.
