education of the spring Cove School District Will COnduct a Public Hearing Under the Local Agency Law

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the provision of Section 514 of the Public School Code, the Board of Public Education of the Spring Cove School District will hold a public hearing regarding an employee disciplinary matter on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, beginning at 6 p.m. The hearing will be held in the Auditorium of the Spring Cove Middle School, 185 Spring Cove Drive, Roaring Spring, PA 16673.

Annual Report

The Williamsburg Municipal Authority is required to provide an annual report listing the water testing results that were performed during the previous year and also list the testing from previous years that are still valid due to testing frequency cycles. The report is provided on the internet. The report is available for viewing at http://GoH2O.net/WMA/CCR. If you would like to furnish us with your email address, we will email you a copy. FIRST PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

PENNSYLVANIA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM

COUNTY OF BLAIR - FISCAL YEAR 2019

The County of Blair has begun to prepare its FY2019 CDBG application to the Pennsylvania Development of Community & Economic Development (DCED). Six (6) entitlement communities [Hollidaysburg and Tyrone Boroughs, Antis, Blair, Frankstown and Greenfield Townships] along with the County of Blair under one application for FY2019. The County of Blair has not yet received its funding allocation for FY2019, however anticipates a combined allocation of approximately $800,000.

Pennsylvania CDBG funds may be used for a broad range of activities that include, but not limited to: community facilities, public service, removal of architectural barriers, property acquisition, fair housing activities, housing rehabilitation, water supply, drainage and sanitary sewer improvements and associated planning and administration. The primary objectives of the Pennsylvania CDBG Program are: benefit to low-to-moderate income persons, elimination of slums and blight and urgent need. At least 70% of the funds available for FY2019 will be used to benefit low-to-moderate income persons. Additionally, the County of Blair will be responsible for replacing all low-to-moderate income housing units that are demolished or converted as a result of CDBG funded activities.

The Blair County Board of Commissioners, encourage interested citizens to attend any of the scheduled public hearings to provide their community’s needs and present their views upon the use of fiscal year 2019 CDBG funds or upon the use of any prior year CDBG funds. The Blair County Board of Commissioners will consider all comments received during the public participation process prior to the submission of the FY2019 CDBG application to DCED.

The County of Blair has scheduled a series of six (6) public hearings for residents, agencies and/or organizations who are interested in expressing their views or community’s needs. The public hearings have been scheduled as follows:
