High School Track and Field Roundup

The Northern Bedford boys’ track and field squad finished fourth in the 70th annual West Central Coaches Meet held on May 3 at Windber Stadium.

Ian Zimmerman paced the Panthers with a three-win, MVP performance. Zimmerman won the 800-meter run in 2:03.94 and 1600-meter run in 4:43.22 and anchored the winning 4x800 relay team that included Josh Strayer, Conner Laird and Ian Sherlock. The foursome’s winning time was 8:43.77.
