CHS Employee Pays Tribute to Armed Forces

Michael Pollard, a cafeteria worker at Central High School, went to the administration with the idea of creating a bulletin board in the cafeteria for Memorial Day. His idea was to gather photographs from students and faculty of loved ones who have served in the armed forces. After gathering pictures for weeks, the final product is a wonderful tribute to those who have courageously served and those who bravely fight today.

"We are very pleased that Michael Pollard took the initiative to create the bulletin board, as it is very important for the school community to recognize and respect the significance of Memorial Day," Marissa E. Cerully, assistant principal at Central, said.

"On behalf of Central High School, we would like to say thank you to all who have served in the armed forces and those who are actively serving today. We appreciate the strength and sacrifice it takes to serve our country," Cerully said.
