Catharine Creates Website

Herald of May 21, 2009

Catharine Township now has a website. The new site, created by township resident David Love, is still under development but already lists the names and contact information of the supervisors, roadmaster, township secretary, solicitor, tax collectors and auditors. The minutes from the township supervisors’ monthly meeting are also available. The permit process and fees for construction in the township are outlined on the website. It is also the location to view all township ordinances.

The Claysburg-Kimmel baseball team saw its 2009 season come to a close with a 19-10 loss to top-seeded Homer Center in the District 6-A quarterfinals. Eighth-seeded C-K, which finished with a 7-10 record, committed eight errors in the game. H-C had four miscues.

The Claysburg Area Public Library has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities Initiative, Bringing Great American Art Directly to Classrooms and Libraries Across the Country, one of 56,000 schools and libraries chosen.
