NBC to Hold Baccalaureate Service May 28

The Northern Bedford County Ministerium will sponsor the school district's baccalaureate service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, in the high school auditorium.

The baccalaureate sermon will be delivered by Pastor Nancy Goff, of Bedford Forge United Methodist Church.

Baccalaureate will follow the traditional pattern in the high school auditorium. The public is invited to the baccalaureate service. Tickets are not required to attend.

Pastor Mick Dawes, of Faith United Methodist Church Woodbury will preside and offer the invocation. Pastor David Meckley, of St. John's Reformed Church of Loysburg, will offer prayer. The scripture lessons, Mark 1:1-8; 6:1-3; 8:27-28, will be read by Pastor Darwin Steele of the Bell Seventh Day Baptist Church. Blessing will be offered by Pastor Eric Poteat, of Koontz and Waterside Churches of the Brethren.

Mara Laird, member of the NBCHS Class of 2019, will introduce the speaker.

Music will be presented by the senior high school chorus at the start of the program at 7 p.m.
