BARRY L. IMLER SR.

Barry L. Imler, Sr., 74, a resident at Graystone Court, Roaring Spring, died on Thursday morning, May 16, 2019, at home, following a lengthy illness.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or funeral service.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Barry was born on Feb. 22, 1945, in Duncansville, the son of the late Martin and Romaine (Holsinger) Imler.

He married Mary L. Bogel on Nov. 13, 1965.

Barry is survived by his wife; three children: Christina Hagan (Robert) of Martinsburg, Barry L. Imler Jr. (Jen) of Newry and Alan Imler (Bobbie Jo) of Williamsburg; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Mountain (Denny) of Roaring Spring.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; Kenny, Bill and Mike.

He attended Northern Bedford County schools and was a United States Army veteran.

He was previously employed at General Refractories, Claysburg; Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg; and retired from JLG Industries, Bedford, in 2002.

Barry attended Faith Assembly of God, Roaring Spring.

Barry loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barry’s memory may be given to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
