Region Champion

Ellen Kennedy, a member of Uzelac Gymnastics, competed at Nationals in the Level 9 Junior Olympic Eastern Championships in Kissimmee, Florida, on May 11 and 12. She got fourth place on the vault and 16th place all around, finishing first in her Region 7 Division of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Uzelac Gymnastics has facilities in Duncansville and Johnstown. Kennedy, 16, a sophomore at Central High School in Martinsburg, is the daughter of Doug and Heather Kennedy of East Freedom.
